Have you ever watched the film which shows a part of someone commiting suicide? The story always ends with the protaganist persuading the antagonist not to jump and look at the bright side of life, to look at matters from an opptimistic point of view. The antagonist will then be persuaded and sees it that his or her deeds are not that bad (anyway, they are only pretending to gain sympathy points). There we have it, no suicide, no more problem and nobody dies. Well, ever wonder what happens if the protagonist does not appear? Hard to imagine if it really happens ... ...

And when somebody says that they want to end their lives, 80 percent of the people do not really mean it. Next time you see somebody trying to die, do not attempt persuasion. Ask that person to just stop wasting time and just jump. The person will not. People who really want to die would just jump, not sit by the edge to wait for someone else. Someone else to persuade them to get off. They are just demented idiots seeking your attention.
